This vintage Duo-Sonic is in very good vintage condition and original with the exception of a re-fret and new nut. The Fender Duo-Sonic is an electric guitar launched by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation as a student model guitar, an inexpensive model aimed at amateur musicians. Musicians such as David Byrne and Liz Phair used a Fender Musicmaster. A Musicmaster Bass model was also put on the market. 9.5-radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. The Duo-Sonic was originally issued only in a tanned Desert Sand color. The guitar is also notable for the shorter scale neck, designed to make it more suitable for younger guitarists. ![]() The Duosonic was a student-level model and was designed to be a more affordable. It uses the typical Fender bolt-on construction. The Fender Duosonic is a solid-body electric guitar produced by Fender. It features two Duo-Sonic single-coil pickups.
